Under this section, I would like to look at and discuss other e-learning tools that may prove both interesting, and useful.
Not all tools suit all people, so it really is a matter of selecting a tool, trying it out, and then deciding on its value to you as a teacher.
To try and make evaluation of tools easier, I have set up an e-learning infrastructure that should help you test or try out some of them before going live with your students.
Because we do have limitations on the main FHNW Moodle platform with regard to what plugins are available to us, but by using Learning Tool Interoperability – LTI, you can install plugins locally on the “alternative” Moodle, and then make the activity available to your students in the main FHNW Moodle without causing any problems at all; grades etc. are all transferred across automatically.
