Logging in to Inside is almost the same as before. We login using AAI, but then when we login to the Lessons section, we need to “switch” over to EduID.
The reason is that the resources that exist on the “Inside” side of things are internal, and since witin the university we are not as yet identified by an EduId, things such as Active Directory and so on, we still work with AAI. This may change in the future.
On the lessons end of things though we interact with Switch, and Switch works with EduID. In order that the resources such as Moodle etc. can work more seemlessly with Switch resources like Drive, Tube and Portfolio, we are now using EduID. There are other reasons to use EduId, and those will be explained later on down the line.
